L iving in New York City, specifically, borough of Manhattan, it’s very difficult to settle down with someone. Actually, it’s even hard just to schedule a date with someone. There are many reasons why there’s a surplus of single women in Manhattan, but a major one is how demanding they are. They want “Mr. Perfect” who unfortunately doesn’t exist on the first date. However, if you give the guy a few dates and really get to know him, he’ll eventually turn into YOUR “Mr. Perfect.”
Anyway, take a couple of minutes and read the profile below that begins with “Seeking my second wing to fly.” It comes straight from a woman in her late 30’s who lives in Manhattan but these are a dime a dozen. No wonder we’re all still single….
Seeking my second wing to fly
No winks please. Only 100% honest, truthful and current profiles. “Lies have short legs” ~ famous German proverb Mid 30’s to mid 40’s ONLY. Not interested in complicated situations…separated/divorced with 2-3 kids in/away from home is a non-starter. ** European roots, US/UK educated, eclectic interests, worldly, intellectually curious, active, spiritual, versatile, well-rounded, widely traveled – with adventurous streak and family values. I am in finance but have a big creative side that seeks and finds various outlets to express itself. I have friends all over – the commonalities are more than the differences, yet the differences add color. Curiosity about the world is important and so is appreciation of the things in life that really matter. I love a good joke and a playful sense of humor – dry/sarcastic is always entertaining ;-), and do not take myself too seriously. I enjoy…yoga, running, tennis, hiking, biking, the Great Outdoors, sailing, skiing, exploring, (adventure) travel, beaches, experimenting with flavors and cooking recipes, healthy diet as a lifestyle, the visual arts – painting and photography (I do both), architecture/design, music of all kinds (alternative rock, jazz, classical), playing piano, film, theater, opera occasionally, concerts…variety is the spice of life.
You are…well above the average bear. And if that sounds too pretentious or snoddy to you – we are not a match. You are very well-educated (top 30 school), bright (you should be able to solve Einstein’s riddle…and no, it’s not a joke :-)), stable, attractive, affectionate, emotionally mature and available, open, self-aware but not self-absorbed, appreciating and sharing a great sense of humor, eclectic interests, with adventurous spirit and traditional family values…who is also at the stage of their life looking for a serious long-term relationship…and their life partner. Rest is click and chemistry.
