That’s right. The website known as Backpage is gone. The federal government has shut it down due to advertising prostitution, ultimately “promoting human trafficking.” These aren’t my words, but the actual legal document you can see by going to their website. Furthermore, the “Adult Dating” section on Craigslist website is also down for same reason. However, at least they got to keep their website up. Backpage is done.
I agree that anyone who partakes in Human Trafficking should be put 6 feet under. However, the majority of these women on backpage were working for themselves. I’m sure they will find another way to advertise, but their #1 source is no longer available. Authorities mentioned that the owners of Backpage were making large sums of money from the advertising costs associated with placing an ad. They also found “disturbing” emails between the owners that mentions correspondence between all of them, talking about the prostitutes etc.
All I know is this is a sad day for a ton of men too. It’s not easy to get laid these days, due to women being prude and only caring about their dog and Yoga. Asking for a phone number is like pulling teeth. It makes no sense. That’s why men would result to Backpage for pleasure, because there was no other place to get it.
