Year 1: “Sorry son for not making the team, we’ll try again sophomore year.”
Year 2: “Sorry son for not making the team, we’ll try again junior year.”
Year 3: “Sorry son for not making the team, we’ll try again senior year.”
Year 4: “Not only did you make the team, you’re destroying everyone and setting new records. The best part is all you had to do was put on a woman’s bathing suit and take a few pills. This family will always get what we want and we’ll do anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to get it. We’re so proud of you son, uhhhhh, I mean daughter.”
Of course, I’m referring to the “Lia Thomas” story of February 2022. Lia is a transgendered (now) female athlete who swims collegiately for the University of Pennsylvania women’s team. Her college swim story is reflected above and done by year. Yes, he tried out for the mens team his freshman through junior year and didn’t make it. Then prior to his senior year, out of nowhere, he realized that he’s a woman!!! It was a feeling that he’s had inside for years but never told anyone about it. The decision to become a woman had nothing to do with swimming. Who would say or believe such a selfish thing??? Lia went from being ranked in the mid 400’s as a guy to #1 as a girl. Shocking!!!
Remember the movie “The Ringer” with Johnny Knoxville? In the movie he’s desperate for money and realized there’s $10,000 for the winner of the Special Olympics. Therefore, he pretends to be “special” and enters the competition with the assumption that he’ll easily beat everyone. In the movie the plan backfired, but it’s happening in real life and WORKING. Lia is proof that desperate acts calls for desperate measures, even if it consists of changing your gender to be the best.
Everyone knows how the media operates these days and they love “phobics.” However, this has nothing to do with being transphobic and has everything to do with cheating. If I didn’t like Chinese food, would you assume that I don’t like Chinese people? If you don’t think what Lia is doing is unfair and cheating, you’re an idiot. So Lia doesn’t have any natural born-given advantages over females who were born females? None? What about the physical appearance? No?
The problem with situations like this is people don’t care. They aren’t putting themselves in the shoes of the women who compete against Lia. That must be extremely hard to cope with knowing that you’re competing against a guy. “Well he’s not a guy, she’s a girl!!” Yeah, I figured you’d say something stupid like that.
I’m 100% against what Lia is doing and if a record is broken, an asterisk is required next to the name.
